After 18 years living in Mexico, Proiettis Giovanni, journalist and scholar of Italian origin, was deported by Mexican authorities apparently by a default under its immigration status. Since COP-16 was celebrated in Cancún, where Proiestti correspondent criticized the Mexican government's position, the journalist was arrested twice: first by a false accusation of drug trafficking, the second, the same, which has been deported within 12 hours of their roots. Interview conducted in March 2011 following the first arrest also the professor of anthropology at the Autonomous University of Chiapas.
